PETALING JAYA: Umno Supreme Council member Razlan Rafii and Suhaizan Kaiat, the former speaker for the Johor assembly were among notable personalities sworn in as political secretaries to ministers today.
Razlan and Suhaizan will be aides to rural and regional development minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and domestic trade and cost of living minister Salahuddin Ayub respectively.
Ghazali Hajiji the son of Sabah chief minister Hajiji Noor was appointed as the political secretary to Armizan Ali, the minister for Sabah and Sarawak affairs and special functions.
Napsiah Khamis, the former Johor PKR Wanita chief, was made an aide to health minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
Meanwhile, the political secretary to economic affairs minister Rafizi Ramli is Che Zam Hamzah, who was in the former’s camp in the run-up to PKR’s party elections.
Upko’s deputy organising secretary Carl Douglas Victor Moosom is the political secretary to his party president, Ewon Benedick, who is entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister.
They were among 13 political secretaries who took their oaths of secrecy in Putrajaya today before Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. A first batch of 10 others was sworn in last week.
